Finish of October

Choir time again. Here we are getting the kids lined up in their performance rows. Macey is on the end this time. Her concerts will be Dec 15/17.
Dan the Man ran a 15K (9.4 miles) on a rainy day.
I was his only cheering section.
He made really good time considering the adverse conditions.
So cute; he got a glow in the dark medal!
I'm not sure I should let Mario drive us around town... even if it is to a Halloween party.
Don't they look awesome! Waluigi, Lakitu, Princess Peach (in her kart), and Mario.
Happy to be at the ward party.
Spidey is Macey's buddy Rylan. Luigi and Ninja are both in her Primary class.
Alex's real Man-stache isn't too impressive yet, but he was willing to let me draw one on.
I have this fun shirt that says, 'All my friends are Pixels.' I threw on the mullet wig for fun, but it was sooooooooo un-attractive. I'm going for a ponytail on the real night!
Number 34 on the field is mine! Football season is almost over. Here is what we have learned. Alex would MUCH rather play soccer than football. Cross Country starts Wednesday. Basketball try-outs start Wed too, but Alex is realistic that since he hasn't played basketball in 1.5 years he doesn't actually have his skills honed!
Crazy hair day for Red Ribbon week. Don't you love the My Little Pony shirt and Frozen lunch box? Classy.
Did you see? Ryan did! He got glasses on Tuesday. Doctor said it would take about a month for Ryan's eyes to relax into the prescription. Apparently his eyes were straining very hard to focus and he had lost his depth perception because of it! Ryan asked, 'Should I take my glasses off when I go to bed?' Dedicated!
I made this poodle skirt for 50's day. I always wanted to have one, so I was living vicariously for this one!
I went to school on 50's day and read a collection of Halloween stories and gave out candy.
I love this flamingo. Macey took the picture. She says, 'Don't worry. This is a flamingo in a skeleton costume because it is carrying a trick or treat basket. It isn't a dead flamingo.' Shew, what a relief!

Another week of life

To be honest, I've had better weeks, but thankfully it came to an end and now I can look back at the good and find joy in that.
Alex's soccer team is being sponsored by a high class Italian Restaurant.  He was treated to this yummy New York Cheesecake just for him.
Last week for family night Macey had us make this note tree. 'If someone is on the phone and you want to tell them something, you can put a note under the tree.' The boys were not excited by this activity, but they do love getting stuff under it. It has been a chore keeping notes and surprises under it. I'm guessing the tree is staying through Christmas... We'll see. :)
I took Macey, Ryan and our friend Asher to the zoo Saturday.
Got a few pics of sister in her awesome safari hat.
And gummy bear tights.
Dan and I went to dinner before the adult session of Stake Conference. The main ingredient in most items was moonshine, so we didn't get to explore the menu much! But it was fun to share a meal with my sweetheart anyway.

Fun run

Fun run day! Macey was totally ready to run for her fundraiser.
The school had this cool tunnel and also a DJ. It was great weather while Macey was out doing her laps.
There was a moment of sadness at the beginning when she couldn't find her pedometer. It was later found in her neighbor's desk. Hmm, I wonder how that happened? Macey wasn't sure. But besides that she ran a great race. And according to her, she got second place. ;)
By the time Ryan's group came out it was hot! I picked Ryan out of the crowd because his teacher was yelling at him, 'Ryan! Water is for drinking only!' Ah, great.
Ryan loves whoever he is with. Here he is with Mikiel from his class and Conner from his primary class. Yeah, he likes to hangout with big kids! We say, 'Thank you!' to those of you who donated to our children's cause. They ran hard for it! Now, let's see what this new school does with all this money...

This and that

Halloween is coming! I'd be happy if someone brought this vulture by and left it on my front porch...
Macers was awarded the Go-Getter award. She tried hard to earn this award. She is a great student and friend. It was good to see her recognized for her efforts.
General conference Bingo and fun. The kids did pretty well. Great conference. Another one for the books!
This chica lost another tooth. 2 down. 18 to go!
This is just a general shot of the band playing at an 8th grade football game. This week Alex will play football and the trumpet on game day!
