Too many for one day?

Guess I should be keeping up with this blog a bit better, eh?
Family disc golf outing. It was way too hot for Lucy (90deg!) She and I were chilling in the shade until she saw a dog on the other side of the field and took off running. She was very hot and tired after that foray!

This felt like the first real day of summer we have had yet.

Hose, trampoline and your best friend. Best combo ever!
Field Day at Gunstream. I had the opportunity to supervise the potato sack races. It was a long and tedious day! But I did get a few good photos of my kids when they were close by.
 Ozzy, Christian, Macey, Madison.
 Photo bombed!
Should Ryan really be the anchor on a tug of war match? The boys totally lost to the girls!
Travis, Ryan. Boys have strange ways of showing friendship.
Soccer party.
 Ping pong with team mates.
11 Year old scout hike. Ryan had to teach about hiking saftey. He came dressed in his uniform and prepared for a hike.
Everyone else came with a bottle of water.
The only scout in a uniform? Yeah, your mom is a total scout nerd!
1st dip in the Kimbrough pool. Johanna says we are the neighbors that moved with out moving out.
Once again, I made my boys dress to the 9's in their uniforms. So what if you are the only ones. I spend a lot of time sewing, sewing, sewing and I think we should be showing this stuff off. Tithing money does pay for it!
Ryan earned the rank of Scout. His first rank as a Boy Scout.
Alex earned his Life Scout rank. Next one is Eagle!
Because your mother said you had to, that's why you are standing here posing. My two boys! I love these guys!
Blanket fort while we watched Sing.
Another trip to the pool with Sophia!

Another great show from our performer!

Other May stuff

Ryan has been looking for a new hobby or passion so he doesn't have to keep teaching TKD (although he has made a friend there, so it isn't so bad teaching now). I took these two out to disco golf while Dan and Macey are busy doing something else.
Ryan was pretty good. He said, "Mom, this could be my new hobby. And you could do it too because you need the practice." Yes, I am not so great at disc golf.
But was a fun way to spend a few hours with my boys.
Our beloved Macey has started piano lessons. She is too short for the bench, so she has this awesome cushion. She has awesome tempo and has a good ear for the notes.
Macey and Dan at a movie.

Macey had to work on an economic fair project. She decided to make Rainbow Loom charms. These look so cute, eh? Don't be fooled. We had to make 25 and they each took about 10 minutes. That was a lot of work!
Dan went to school and visited during the fair. Here is Macers with Madison.
 Her sales table.
Feeling like he should also visit Ryan, Dan took lunch up for him. Are we surprised he has this crazy face? No, we are not.
Father and Sons camp out, with an extra son.
Ah, this must be where Dan picked up his chiggers.
This is Alex's new favorite place in the house. He moved his Playstation 4, downstairs so it would have a wired connection to increase speed and reaction times. On this day, when I walked by I thought, 'Whoa, I think June has a picture of Dan looking just like this!' He is a mini version of Bob, and therefore Dan too!

Dan turns 40

With Dan traveling so much this spring, the kids and I have had time to do some weird stuff. Proof number 1: A bacon bouquet. This is obviously a Pinterest idea. It was clever, but a tad tricky to put together.
I'm not sure that Lucy appreciated the tantalizing smell. She was a bit out of sorts all day sniffing around trying to get to it!
Another happy birthday treat delivered to our front door. YUM!
Yes, well, it we aren't exactly classy around here. ;)
The candy card was Alex's idea. He found a poem and had me get the candy for him. We are still eating the candy a month later.
Dan and I went to lunch on his birthday (he worked from home). While we were eating he says, 'so, would it be OK if we didn't do dinner today? I'd like to take the boys to see the new Marvel movie tonight.' This would have been opening night, so it was a cool thing to do. However, by switching nights we had to go out to eat on Cinco de Mayo. There were lots of crowds, but not too much at TGIFridays. And also, we had already committed to having Asher with us Friday, so he got to tag along too.

New white uniforms for Alex's soccer team. They played very well this season. Super proud of all their hard work.
Dan took these two to the city Easter egg hunt.
The kids came home and said LAME! The eggs were full of cheap toys and gross candy. Won't need to do that next year!

I took Macey to see Cinderella the ballet. It was put on by a local ballet studio with the students, including a couple of my primary children. Macey was not impressed in the least! Bored. She was extremely bored.
But she looked good! Here is her Belle hair style.
Easter morning breakfast.
Ah, peep wars. What would Easter be with out peep wars?

I took the kids on a Sunday afternoon outing. However, it was windy and cold so not a great trip.
But we did come across this crocodile in the wild.

And the boys shared a scooter, so that was something to see.
