Here is my total haul. We joked that the yarn crawl IS cheaper than going to Cancun, which we have done before!
This ornament was found in Ry's backpack Apr 20. He either really loves Jesus or has no idea this is in his bag. LOL
YW practicing for Mother's Day Sunday.
I'm modeling a cowl that Jo wants to make. She bought the exact same colors. Can't wait to see how she does!
This is the Fiber-man. Here he is showing us how he makes yarn!
Just 2 old ladies living their best life in oodles of yarn shops!
And a bonus stop in Ft Worth for the art festival in downtown. Yes, we have matching Costco sweaters. We are quite the pair!
MJ playing with the 8th grade Wester Lady Wildcats soccer team.
Can you help the drill team repair costumes?? Um, maybe. There was a fringe incident in the wash so I was commissioned to sew new fringe on a few costumes. I did my best, but this wasn't an easy fix!
Spork tagging along for chauffer duties.
I made the whole crew head to Denton for Alex's last concert of the season. As he submits his mission papers (yippee!) and considers a new career path, this could potentially be his last concert with UNT. We'll see what the Lord has in store for him in the future!
This guy right here was pretty livid that he had no choice in going to prom. The downsides of having a girlfriend is having to go in public dressed up!

Giselle looking beautiful! Ryan got away with minimal pictures, he got to eat at one of his favorite restaurants on dad's bill and didn't have to go to any after parties. Seems like it worked out alright to me!
Ryan's main beef was that NONE of his friends are going since it is Senior prom and he is a junior. Thankfully J.R. was part of his group, so that made it better.
Lucy and I supporting Alex from a distance for one of his UNT triathlon races.
Wester Soccer.
Bluebonnets!
The YW had a photoshoot with a willing ward member acting as photographer!
Lucy super interested in that open gate...
I love, love, love this blanket. I bought more yarn so I can make more of these baby blankets.
Dallas World Aquarium mom and daughter trip.
I put out a challenge to have the youth watch conference and make a goal. If they sent me their goal, I'd bring them a plate of cookies. Only 3 boys took me up on it! (with a little nudging from their moms!)
Easter Lunch.
Dying eggs!
Partners PE with kids I sub.
I crocheted this top!
Kickball, ice cream and laser tag. A pretty sweet combined activity.
Frisco 7th youth.
When subbing and UIL collide at Centennial! The bros assisting with chairs and stands side stage.
Alex running again!
"It's Friday night and my peeps left me home alone." "Me too. Should we go to dinner and a movie?!" Yup! Love this dear friend!
Blanket yarn for days!
Last middle school UIL performance.
Laser tag night with just the older girls.
The boutique I was selling some sewed products at went out of business. I snatched up some beautiful yarn at a discount.
MCO on the way home from the Spring concert.
Our boy met us downtown for the performance.
Rec soccer.
Hanks of yarn have to be wound. Thankfully one of us has this crazy contraption!
Yes, I know I shouldn't take pics of students, but these guys are the best! I've enjoyed subbing regularly at their school. No, I don't want to do it full time (they've offered!) but I'm glad to be a part time adult whom they trust.
On a Friday night I called up a friend and said, "Mace and I are home alone. You wanna come build a puzzle with us?" And she said yes! We built this 1000 piece Lego minifig puzzle in a couple of hours. So fun!
We recently learned that Macey would prefer to babysit than referee!
It's easy when your pets do all the hard work.
For Alex's 20th we decided to go to Delucca Gaucho. It is a fancy pizza buffet where the waiters walk around with 14 different flavors for you to try. We were all so full that when the waiter brought Alex a slice of cheesecake for his birthday we all groaned!
MJ was the champion eater. She had 16 slices!! She thought the lamb was the best.
Uncle Mike back on the continent!
Pet sitting.
This are my pear trees in full bloom. The buds were burnt in a late freeze. Thankfully the leaves came in, but alas not very many flowers.

Pre-yarn crawling, yarn trip to the largest yarn shop in Texas.
Macey learning about the fine art of squeezing cheez whiz on crackers!
