Not for the squeamish
Dan got a real cast on yesterday. It is blue and sturdy! Here are the x-rays of the pins (skewers seems more accurate to me.) I'll leave off the actual picture of his hand since it is jaundice looking from 2 week old iodine. He asked the dr if he could wash his hands before they put the new cast on. He was sort of laughed at; you can't wash your hand when you have skewers sticking out of it!

Dang! That's some serious work they had to do! I saw your hubby driving down Estrella and I looked over trying to peak at the "broke hand". He didn't see me...I probably looked really weird.
