Texas has opened up for the most part. We can do just about anything as long as it is at 25% occupancy. And you wash, wash, wash. It has been 2 weeks since we opened up and I am surprised at how slowly the virus has been spreading. It is still going up, but nothing exponentially. Perhaps people really are washing their hands and staying home when they are sick. Hopefully this will carry on once we get past all this.
Sunday stroll to see the Texas bluebonnets.

I bought the adult sized scooter for Christmas. I should have bought 2. We love riding it around.
Playing cards in the backyard. Anything to get these kids out of the house!

 Alex! Alex's star at Sprouts.
I found a single bluebonnet for Lucy while out for our daily walk.

I love honeysuckle! My running path has this all along the edges. Wonderful!
 Church at home.
Earth Day: picking up trash along the creek near Wester Middle School.

Social Distance birthday. Navigating who we can see and hangout with has been a challenge. After 2 months we were at the point where each kid had 2 friends they could hangout with. Dan recently started air travel again, so we are back to square one. We'll see who all will risk being in our company over the next few weeks.
Yay, my lucky day. Actually, it was a lucky day. I hit only green lights all day long! Found this at Russell Creek Park.
 Lucy on the tramp.

Macey's new soccer goal with rebounder. We play half court soccer, 3 v 2. (I am the weak link and always picked last!)
YUM!
 Homemade shortcake AND whipped cream.
Band auditions made for a hard day. Ryan and Alex are both auditioning for the high school marching band. The trombonist whipped it out in 2 takes (because I made him do it twice!).
The trumpeter had a panic attack and took the better part of the day to get it right. The results came in 2 weeks later. Alex made 1st band and was assigned to be a section leader (leadership position in the band) and Ryan made 2nd band. We celebrated by getting Chuy's for dinner (take out, of course!)
If you walk straight up the stairs and into the game room, this is usually what you'll see. Ryan chilling on the couch.
 Happy Birthday, Daniel Howard!

Our first interactions with other humans! Lucy flipped out to have company INSIDE the house!
 Ah, Ryan's sense of humor.
Social distancing laser tag at the park! We borrowed another set of guns to have 8 players. Really, really fun!
I walked with the girls to the pond. We got to see the baby geese.
 Sunset!
Afterwards, the D's came home with us for games and treats. It was such a relief to see people and play in person.
Here Macey and I are waiting for Ryan at the orthodontist. The waiting room is closed for now.
We instituted a 4-7pm no electronics, play with your family rule.
Ryan's first friend to visit! Just some bandits playing poker.
Ah, this was the day we celebrated audition results. I got dressed in real clothes! And rode around in the car. Hehehe. Actually, Alex and I went to Lowe's to buy paint for his bedroom, so I did get out of the car. With our masks and hand sanitizer!
I guess I'm just going for ombre hair now!
This is Dan catching an Uber to the airport. He has to wear a mask while riding in car and at airport. At the hotel, they have very limited housekeeping. He usually picks up dinner while traveling, so that isn't much different. But it is a strain to travel and to have him travel away from us!
Before Dan left, he helped Al paint 3 walls of his room. Here Ryan is helping with the 4th wall.

The blue walls and sports theme has been done away with.
The closet and junk drawers were sorted and mostly discarded. These projects have kept our boy busy. Ry and M are happy to do nothing, but Alex feels better keeping busy.
Counting pennies! Here is a chore I've needed to do for a while. Rounded up $62 in change!
 A pooch and her pickle.
 2020 temperature blanket update.
Alex is a shoe fiend. Here he is turning his shoe box collection into art.

Super sweet!

Yesterday, Dan and Ryan went out shopping for a new past time for Ryan. Ry decided he wants to drive $200 RC cars. Hmmm. They came home with a giant pack of playing cards instead. The War continues!
