Here are some miscellaneous pictures from the last 6 weeks.
Our Easter was a simple affair. We had a brunch before 11am church and an egg hunt afterwards.
Macey loved the hunt!
Alex, Dan, John R and Nico went to a Legends bball game.
This was a happenin' place on a Friday night.
Autographs even.
Alex's soccer team has rocked this season. It took 4 seasons to go from worst to nearly the best. They are probably playing at their best with the teammates they've got. Alex is happy and we know the other parents, so it is a comfortable place to be.
Ryan is the second from the right on the back row.
These boys are wild and drive Dan crazy. At lease Ryan is having fun with his friends.
Our city had a Green day. The fire dept brought a truck for the kids to look around in.
Here is Macey driving.
Uh, I'm not sure what that is. Perhaps a mascot from Wildlife Management.
Ryan the Crazy at Burger King.
And lastly the kids at the PTA's fundraiser. Here they've got their new mustaches on.
Unibrow? What I don't have a picture of is Ryan winning a Kindle Fire in the raffle. We told him NOT to put one in that basket since we didn't need it; but he stuck just one in there and it was the winner! Are you looking to buy a Kindle? We've got one we don't need... :)

PWD 2013
Once again it is Pinewood Derby Time.
This year I was hands off. I helped decorate, but otherwise I was not involved in planning. And the only function I performed at the Derby was to keep kids off the track. Well, I did take quite a few balloons away from kids, who were popping them or going by the track. But I was the only person that thought it was important to do such a thing, so it was futile. 'Ugh' is what I feel at the end of most Pack functions. I need to lower my standards and try to be happy in the chaos that comes from letting the boys 'have a good time' or accepting their unruly behavior as 'inevitable'. :)
But on to our Alex's own experience. Here is his car. It is a Minecraft design. You don't know this Minecraft? Ah, then you don't know any 4th graders. I suggest a google search, but BEWARE, it is addictive, especially if you are 11 and under.
This was his last year, and again not a top finisher. He was a great sport. In fact he was the only boy cheering on his friends.
Here is my new Webelo waiting for his car to come down the track. There was a malfunction in his wheels. The car construction was tag team, and this half of the team didn't do a good job on wheel alignment. Sorry, buddy. But you got a candy bar just like everybody else, so nothing lost there!
I know I took a picture of my refreshment stand, but it seems to have been deleted, so once again you can't see my awesome sewing. And the decorating this year was done by a party planner, so it was very cool, in person. These pictures just show you a gym, but it really did look nice.
Dan was the marshal of the track lever. He was covered in Graphite by the end of the night. Next month Dan will be in uniform. Oh yes, Dan is serving on our committee now. He is the chair for our ward.
And here are the boys eating dinner before the race. Note to you in case you are planning a derby. Do NOT serve dinner first. (The boys were ready to race at the start of the evening and got bored by the end. The parents were also bored and started taking down the decorations during the awards ceremony.) Do NOT serve Cheetos or Doritos to boys who are currently racing. (There was as much cheese as graphite on some cars.)
Only 3 more Derbies to go before our family is out of the races. Maybe by year 6 we'll get our act together and finish in first... but probably not!
