June news

The last day of school. Our school does a flag ceremony. It was fun to gather around with all our friends. And to say goodbye to kids going to Jr. high or leaving the school family.
Ryan was standing with 2 of his friends by the pole.
I tried to get a picture of the boys together, but they weren't very cooperative!
This is a poisoned rodent dying in the street. I took the boys out to see it and explained why we were trying to kill the rats and such in the neighborhood. And please don't touch it! But a friend decided to put it under a 'dying' bush, in my front yard after carrying it in a pet carrier for a while. Dan eventually buried the creature. Better under ground than stinking up my front yard!
 ...
Alex was very sick for one week. He got a viral infection from a friend, but then he proceeded to get a bacterial one on top of that. The poor kid was very sick for 5 days. One night I took the other kids out to burn off energy after being stuck inside for days on end waiting for Alex. We went to the school and were playing when the sprinklers came on. Macey said, 'It is OK if I get wet.' and decided to run in the sprinklers.
Ryan won't be out done by a 3 year old, so he got on his bike and rode through the sprinklers.
Here is Macey next to me and Ryan is in the back playing in the big sprinklers. It isn't often that Macey and Ryan play well together, but this day was a good day for them!
Once Alex could leave the house, we went to Braums. YUM! Macey is eating birthday cake ice cream. This will be obvious, but it tasted just like birthday cake! It tasted like too much frosting and there were bits of birthday cake mixed in. A perfect match for Macey.
Spending money: Alex had a gift card to Toysrus from his birthday he still hadn't used. We went there and he got an app gift card for his NEW IPOD that his mom and dad delayed him from buying for months. It was inevitable, and it was his money, so he is now finally cool. Macers got this beautiful doll. It is baby Rapunzel with long hair. She loves this sweet dolly. She never sleeps with dolls or animals, but she couldn't let this girl sleep on her own pallet. No, that was too far away. She was privileged to sleep with sister.

stutter into summer

Summer is here, but school is still in session. We are anxiously awaiting the last day to come.
In the mean time Ryan has started his first summer camp, we've been swimming in chilly water, and we've been watching the rabbits multiply and replenish!
Ryan is attending sparring camp for Tai Kwon Do. It is on Saturdays.
Here is doing a relay hopping back and forth across the black rope .
We took some friends to the pool yesterday. Our 2 families have an exact match for all three kids.

The little girl didn't get to come swim with us this time, so Macers had to make due on her own.

The turtle's name is Tiny Tim. He is a favorite for everyone at the pool. It does cause contention, but we are using it to overcome our covetousness and jealousy.

No, there isn't any explanation for that at all. She is a little loony.
Really, more rabbit pictures? Alex loves to film our little rodents. The population is out of control. I foresee bobcats and coyotes in our near future!
