spring break

I'll have to wait for Dan to share the pics from his phone for spring break, but here is what I've got. This year we stayed home and our relatives visited us. Bob and June came for a whole week! And we got to have Alyssa, Amelia and Clara here for 5 days. Yay!!
Alyssa and I snuck away to Amorino gelato shop at Legacy West (we had MooYah for dinner).
Bless Bob, the best father in law. He helped me pick out, load up, and install a new dishwasher. I love this kitchen appliance. Joy!
I took all the girls to Quiggly's art studio in Richardson. These ladies worked on pottery and I made a glass fusion piece. They are currently baking! I can't wait to back and pick up our master pieces.
Clara and I passing the time while everyone works.
 Super sweet unicorn for Amelia.
 Macers chose a dolphin.

 Cousin time!
We went to our favorite neighborhood park for ziplining and indoor soccer action.
Clara's first ride in a park swing!
Lucy got good and dirty on this outing.
 Teacup wanna-be.
J, A, C and I went to dinner at TruFire. Yummy falafal platter!

Shoe shopping for rain boots for Alyssa. She didn't pick these ones... It only took to trips to Nordstroms Rack to get the right stuff.
Clara at the FAC indoor pool.
Macers. Good thing she had this swim shirt. Seems she grew out of her suit over the winter!
During soccer practice, some of us went to Churoholics for dessert. Delicious!

Ms Pac Man at Fuzzy's Taco shop.
We were stuffed the WHOLE week.
 Ryan attempting a photo dodge.
A pic of me with my own camera? Weird. This is Hello Sweetie, rolled ice cream.
Game time. I did not come off conqueror at this game. I need more practice.
Who is this homeless person doing my dishes? Ha!
The parents getting a snooze in before they head to the airport.
And the day after they left it was 65 deg, sunny and the flowers bloomed on the pear trees.
And the day after that, Dan left for business and made this puppy so sad and pouty.

early march

 Matching girls!
Ryan's one and only track meet trying out pole vaulting. He is in the sweatshirt lying down. Eye roll. His buddy to the right of him set a school record and made the district meet yesterday. Go Travis!
Alex was having soccer practice on the same field as the track meet, so we met up to watch together.
Here Alex has just gotten home from a soccer game to find his new PC.
He saved up bday and work money to buy it!
 Yay!!
I gave up my sewing room so Al could have a place for his PC. He keeps saying how bad he feels about kicking me out, but I really don't mind. It's only for 2, TWO, years. When he goes on his mission or college (or moves this into his room if he goes to community college) I'll get my room back. :)

Jan and Feb happenings

Please-don't-take-a-picture-of-me look. It is game day and soccer teamer had to dress up fancy for school!
He's in the team huddle! He is Titan soccer player!
 And it is freezing!
Ha! I started attending my favorite weights class at the gym. Those squats make these stairs look very very very long!
Activity Days, making hearts for heart attacks.
The lights in my kitchen kept going out so I decided to install new fixtures. These LED (the closer fixture; I hadn't replaced the other one yet) lights can't be replaced. They are supposed to last forever. We'll see. There was much shenanigans involved with these fixtures, which I won't bore you with, but... we can now say, 'OK google. turn off the kitchen lights' So that makes it all worth it!
Ah, Lucy found a brand new coat to snuggle.
Hmmm, Lucy likes to straddle the pillows on MY side of the bed. She looks perfectly content, doesn't she.
Jo, my partner in eating crime. Lunch with this lady can be the only adult conversation I'll get on the weeks Dan travels. Bless her for loving me as I am, and being willing to hangout with me for hours!
#33 playing some indoor soccer with a rec team.
Out and about with my hubs.
Gaps on all sides of her mouth now.
 Lu, Lu, really? Snuggle much?
 Sewing up some Pusheens.
I made a tooth fairy! It has a pocket to put the tooth in. SOOO, cute!
 Working on her Valentine's box.
Ah, this is fabulous. We were looking around the house for a box and found this one from Alex's new headboard. She was nervous it would be too big.
 Maybe, but it is awesome!
This is our morning carpool/walk to school group.
I brought this child lunch! I only do it once a year. Dad is the good sport who goes up there on a regular basis.
 Girl pile in the hammock!
 Pusheen sewing camp.
 Activity Day soap carvings.
Drew Daywalt!! Author of the 'Days the Crayons Quit'. He gave a great lecture and read a new book to us. This was at libarypalooza, a Saturday thing at the high school. Here is what we learned from the illustrator lecture: Macers wants to go to art school and only study art for 4 years!!
Long story here, but the short story is that my Grandma Betty made this quilt block for me in college. It has been among my stuff for almost 2 decades. It was time to get it finished! I made it into a wall hanging and hung it in my sewing studio.
When isn't Lucy snuggling something or someone?
A box of oranges straight from AZ. Thank you, Unlce Charlie!
Alex asked for stuffed french toast for breakfast. This was so, so yummy! (and notice the glass of FRESH squeezed OJ!)
The bed gift with light up balloons.
What cutie! Still made it to seminary!
We enjoyed celebrating him, even if it was an overscheduled crazy day. His big wish: cash to buy a computer. Granted! He'll be ordering it soon!
