Court of Honor Videos

Here are the 2 videos from the court of honor. One is the slideshow I made of Alex's scouting journey. The other is the live recording of the event.

Eagle Court of Honor

We decided to do Alex's Court of Honor on Father's Day. We had the DeLucias in attendance, as well as Scoutmaster Fred Fortenberry and his son Jonathan. The rest of our guests were on a zoom call. We projected them on one wall and had participants from afar do their part on speaker phone.

We are really proud of Alex and his accomplishment!

early June

The following are some pics from my running days. I've been training to run a 5K again just for health reasons. I have a damaged heel so I've been taking it nice and slow. It has started being sore again, so I've probably reached my maximum running speed and distance. At least I'm moving!

Can you spot the poison ivy mixed in with this greenery?
I found a pet parakeet! I couldn't catch him and what I would I have done if I had? Poor bird!
Sophie and Mace trying the slip n slide. It wasn't too great a success. The girls are getting too big!
That's Lucy for ya.
Our friend and realtor Tessa gave us a weekend trip to a Frisco lake house. Here the kids are playing on our fighting kangaroos. Meant for the water...
The property had a large shade trees, so it was a great place to hangout in the backyard.
 Playing with the fling-flings.
Having trouble disconnecting from his screen.
 Cards games on the backdeck.
Macey's donut. Masks. They are everywhere!
The edge of the property just sloughes off into the lake so it is a mud pit. Not exactly the kind of place you go swimming. But we managed for 2 hours to play and have a good time.

 Macey found a dragonfly friend.
 Pick up sticks.

 Playing some spikeball.
We are a bit of mess here, but having a good time.

This turtle was trekking across the lawn early one morning.

End of the School Year

We met up with Macey's friend Carli for 5th grade pictures.

Hooray! Our princess is going on to middle school. (I am OVER elementary school!)
These are the posters I made for the graduation parade. With COVID we couldn't go to school for a farewell party, so instead we drove through a reverse parade they called it. All the staff and teachers were in the school parking lot cheering for the students as they drove through. It was actually really, really cool!

Here is Macey's teacher, Mrs Marshall.
We watched the 5th grade graduation program at home. Also, not a bad way to endure a graduation!
Daniel had to leave for a business trip in between our two celebrations. Ryan graduated from 8th grade. Heading to high school!
Here is the parade wrapping Wester Middle School.
This guy was SUPER embarrassed to have us hold up our signs and act like looney tunes. We did it anyway!

We ran into Macey's teacher at Wester!
Ryan picked Panda Express for his graduation dinner. Of course.
My graduation gift was moving the cardboard classroom out of the living room!
Into my sewing room. Sigh.
