Look what my friends and I made for the hallway at school. I donated the Spiderman from the boys' room.
Alex is biking to middle school. John is escorting Nico and Alex. Seems they needed a little help at first with the instruments and whatnot. I think they've got it down now. (No more crashing into cars or each other!)
Macey was deteremined to go swim in the middle of September. It was freezing!
The boys got in and got out so fast I don't think they got wet!
The girls swam around a bit in their floaties. But, 'This water is burning cold!'
Here they are following a butterfly around the pool instead of swimming!
Cub Scouts hosted a bike rodeo. Super fun!
I liked this picture of the boys, missionaries, and flags.
Alex loves the weather channel. He is always telling about the latest weather or news info he finds there. The other day he asked if I could get him up at 5:30am to watch the lunar eclipse. So we did.
Look at this poor dog. I mean, she has a super hard life of sleeping and snuggling her people folk. Alex stayed home sick and Lucy snuggled him all day.

Labor Day
Guess I was pretty behind on my blog posts. Sorry! On Labor Day, Dan was gone. But we didn't pass up the invite to join our Baker friends at their lake house. They are so super good to share it with us. We had an awesome adventure with them and the DeLucias and the Marreros.
Boys camping out upstairs the night we got there.
The next morning it was time to get in the boat right away!
These jet skis are super fun. Marcela wasn't too excited to have John drive. I think once was enough for her!
Once we came back from our first boat ride Macey said, 'That was AWESOME!'
Of course, Ryan thought it was awesome. He is a thrill seeker! He had a hard time sharing. Alex had a good time, but must have been less enthusiastic since I don't have as many pictures of him.
Sister and I got to chill in the front of the boat. She was also determined to swim in the lake. She jumped off the boat and swam around. No fear for her!
The lake house is in a subdivision that has a beautiful pool and a little pond.
The boys enjoyed the paddle boats.
And we enjoyed the pool! This was a great little day trip. We hope we get asked back!

October camping
Conference weekend we joined some other families to go camping. (I'm still trying to catch up on the missed conference sessions!) We rented these cabins and could put up two tents per cabin. The big kids slept in the cabins with everyone else in tents.)
Yep, another outing with Sophie. Macey went off to kinder this year and left Soph's in preschool because of their birthdays straddling the cut-off date.
Did a little bit o' fishin.
Did a little bit of hammockin'.
Did a little bit of kite flyin'.
Did a lot of eatin' and drinkin'.
Lucy went with us on this trip.
Girl time.

Boy time playing baseball.
Macey is 5.
Grandma June came to stay with Macey and Dan while I took the boys to Florida. This is them having a birthday lunch.
Good morning, Macey! We are back.
Having a yummy breakfast with brothers.
Megan came over later in the day to share in cake and present opening. Macey's actual birthday was a sad little affair, but to make up for it (and for missing our family vacation and for suffering through a severe kidney infection and because the happiest place on earth is perfect for 5 year olds) Dad took Macey to Disneyworld!
They stopped at the beach on the first day of arriving in Florida. This girl loves the beach!
Now the next best part of this trip, was that her best friend went with her. Sophia and John flew in a little later than them. They shared a car and hotel.
And they got to go to Disneyworld on Sophia's actual birthday! Now, because Macey went to celebrate her birthday, she also got a 'it's my birthday' pin. So the question of the trip was, 'are you two twins?!'
So I didn't go on this vacation, but you can see that everyone had a great time. Macey loved meeting all the princesses. Daddy got to have a daddy/daughter trip that probably wouldn't have happened in normal circumstances. We are super happy that Macey is healthy and able to enjoy being 5 years old!
