Dolphins!
Wester and Lawler bands play at the 8th grade football game.
Bandtober. This is mostly what I did in October. (And the only thing Alex did in October!) They ended up being 5th place in the Area contest; just one spot short of going to state this year. So sad!
While at lunch with Jo, I ran into these fun ladies, Judy and Karen from our Plano 8 days!
Just some girls playing Death Squared (a new favorite game at our house!) This is Aubree (on the poof), Madison (on the hoverboard) and Sophia (on the couch.)
Family Face swap at The Magic Time Machine restaurant.
Sewing camp with Meg and Sydney.
So creative!
T-shirt quilt designing.
8th grade night with the marching band.
Well, I tried to get a picture of my boys... Next year I'll have every game!
Parents vs. Dolphins soccer game, Dan's favorite, most painful, night of the season!
Gumball machine.
Nothing like a car seat hug on the way home from church.
Everyone should have a friend you can wear a Toucan hat with at Target!
Character dress up day for school (which happened to be on Halloween).
I took advantage of the Book Fair being at school this week to go up to school and dress up for Halloween. Moaning Myrtle!
I love that this guy will wear a shark on Halloween. He is pretty cool!
I also love that my bestie Felicity would walk around Frisco dressed like a penguin with me!
Meg is a latte, Madison a racoon and Macers mostly a gumball machine. We had a cold day after months and months of 90 degrees.
Here is a shock: Alex brought friends to our house!! They went on a hayride at a pumpkin patch before coming over.
Alex is really clever when it comes to pumpkin design.
And Emma is very sweet.
The other friends left these cool carvings for us too.
That french horn is awesome, right?
Ryan was a shadow for Halloween. He and a buddy killed it with the candy haul!

September 2019
September brought about a new phase at our house. Alex having a girlfriend! There first date was to Homecoming. Emma loves Friends TV show, so Al made this sign to ask her.
And she said 'yes'! She plays the trumpet in the band too so they are always together during marching season.
These are Homecoming mums. Emma and her friends made both the mum and garter. These are investments! They wear them to school on homecoming day, but that's it! No flowers for the dance (which is on a different day than the football game).
I have been wanting to make Lego mini figures displays for a while now. Especially after the great Lego sort of the summer. I made up 3 of these and put them in the hallway outside the kids' rooms.
Some sewing crafts for September.
Girl pile, with Lucy laying on the laptop.
Megan time at the park!
Shabu shabu with my soul mate.
Dear Santa, please bring Macers Ugg boots, because dad is definitely not going to invest in them!
Date #1: Ryan and I went to Nerdvana for dinner and games. We sat in this hilarious cubicle playing Mario Kart and Death Squared.
Date #2: Alex and Emma went to dinner at Babe's Chicken and then went to the homecoming dance. (Along with Emma's family and 15 other school kids.)
Date #3: Dad and Macey went to the Stake Daddy Daughter dance. Good times for all of us on a Saturday night!

August
A girl and her dog enjoying the last days of summer.
Yay! Al's braces finally came off!
AND... he got his official license on the same day!! Here is running his first mom driving circle. Bro to middle school band camp and himself to marching band camp.
Ryan feeling safe riding with the big bro.
I totally should have photographed the bowl of caramel popcorn I made while Alex was at band camp, but here is the recipe card from Aimee Wright. My kids LOVE this recipe. Alex went 2 yrs without it. He was glad to have a bucketful to himself!!
This was one of the hottest days in Dallas! But Dan and Macey's teammates went to the game together. FCD won. It was a great game (especially once the sun set!)
8th Grade schedule and locker day.
Marching band preview show.
First day of school. Dan took the pics of the other kids. :)
5th grade means learning the states and capitals for sister.
Happy Birthday lunch!
Cake for her backyard party.
I begged for an off site party, but Dad relented and threw this backyard field day party instead.
The usual suspects.
Just 2 dogs chillin' on my bed (and a sheep and a jellyfish too.)
Back to school equals volunteering for me. I had the joy of folding 250 t-shirts and helping distribute them to the marching band. I am helping the uniform chair with her difficult job. Also, choir starts this week, so I've been deep in emails getting our semester rolling! And, Activity Days took a hiatus, and it is time to start that back up today. I love using my smarts to help my kids' programs move along!
