While we were in Houston for Spring Break, the city of Frisco cancelled school for the following week and the county ordered that all citizens engage in social distancing (stay 6 feet away from others, avoid crowds larger than 10). Online schooling started the Tuesday after spring break, which was a logistical miracle! The above order was declared March 25 which demands that all non-essential businesses close and that people stay home as much as possible. However, we have been encouraged to pick up food from local restaurants and to support small businesses however we can.
These are our Bradford pear trees in full bloom when we got home from Houston. Because of the location of our house, our trees bloom a week after the rest of them in the neighborhood. (Also, notice how green our weeds are!)
Alex and Emma thought this was a good idea. And dumped in my kitchen table. And hardly came back to it. It became my past time!
Dan picked up some classic NES games on the Nintendo Switch to help pass the time for him.

Of course the fridge started rattling the week of spring break when we were all hoarding food and things were scarce. I waited until Easter and then the food all had to come out for the fridge to defrost. It is now running nice and quiet again.
Dan heading out for a run. He has been home for 6 weeks straight (I mean, we all have been, but this is super strange for Daniel!). He has been using his home time to play games with the family, running and catching up on some DVR shows. He still works extremely hard day in and day out. Bless him for being able to provide for us during this uncertain time!
Lu was getting a bit shaggy, so she had to step into my rona (the euphemism folks are using when referring to the coronavirus, which causes SARS-COVID-19). So far I've trimmed Dan, Alex, Macey, my bangs and Lucy. Hoping Ryan can hold on until a salon opens. His hair is tricky tricky.
All cleaned up. She doesn't look much different, but her personal areas are cleaned up so she'll be staying fresher longer!
This has been such a strange time in the world. I do not take for granted how easy it all has been on our family. Alex got a new job working at a grocery store when his other job was lost because the business had to close its doors. My day to day hasn't changed that much. I have the same tasks of cleaning, shopping and managing the kids affairs. Our family was happy to begin with, so there hasn't been any struggles being trapped in our 3000 sqft house together. But there is so much sorrow, anger and hurt in our country. Our economy has taken a beating and will continue to for months to come. It is hard to know which news to trust, which advice to take. Daily prayers and consulting with the Lord keeps me on an even keel. Trust in the Lord and lean not on thy own understanding. And as always, Philippians 4:13 for Pete's sake!
