Easter

Easter morning was a beautiful day; a slight breeze and clear skies! We started our morning by having brunch with Walter. We had a yummy breakfast and used our china to celebrate. Then the Easter Bunny went to the grass area behind our house and hid eggs. Walt came with us to hunt for eggs.

Our church is at 11:00. At 10:35 I was scrambling to get the boys in their Sunday clothes. We finally got them ready and off we went with Walt in tow. I helped sing in the choir and team taught sharing time. After church we changed again and went up to Peoria for dinner with Kirsten and gang. Thanks for dinner! Mark is handy on the grill.
We especially reinforced that Easter is about Jesus and not about candy, presents or bunnies. I hid pictures of the Easter story in the eggs and we looked at them during Sacrament meeting. This was a nice day with friends and family.

My mom used to do the Easter story in our eggs as well. I used to be so bummed, because there wasn't ever any candy! Some of my friends used to get loads of money in their eggs! But now that I am a parent, I realize how wise my parents were! Easter is more than about the candy! Good job Crystal!

I love the idea of hiding pictures in the eggs! Sounds like they are keeping you busy at church :o) I don't remember you singing in the choir during the Bentonville years? You learn something(s)new every day.

I was going to tell you on Sun but I didn't get a chance that I think your hair is so cute! I think it is the perfect cut for you and frames your face so well!
