Nov 2021

My turn to go to Denton for Al's concert.

This was an insane puzzle. 1500 pieces. I actually considered giving up 1 hour in thinking it would be impossible. But a good audiobook and many hours later, I did get it done in about a week.

Carli and Macey at phase 2 All Region tryouts. Both girls made it into a Region band, which is a big deal!

Plumbing in our house has been a sore spot this fall. We had the plumber come to unclog a drain. He proceeded to let us know we need a new hot water heater soon and the shower valves need to be replaced (walls ripped out, insulation added). A week later the garbage disposal starts leaking! I was so mad; I did not want to call a plumber again. So I purchased and installed a new garbage disposal.
No lie, same day the mailbox suffered from this fate. Plumbing yet, masonry no. Ugh! We don't really know what happened, but I'm thinking a delivery truck reversed into our mailbox.
R driving us to the Veteran's Day parade.

All Region concert. We went through a lot to find all concert black for my petite little lady!

Sewing class.

Kristina and I have happy hats (our cowgirl hats). This is my other happy hat. It is ridiculous and I embarrassed myself wearing it while talking to sane people who didn't know what think of my crazy hat.
We went to a little lake house here in Frisco. It wasn't lush accommodations, but being trapped in a smaller space together is the idea, so it worked.
These two are standing at the skatepark buying entry fees to 5K and half marathon races. Alex has a new passion: running!

Family game time included Mario Party.
The loft the boys slept in.

After Thanksgiving it is out with the pumpkins and in with the pine trees!

I pulled out my sweet potato vines in the front yard and harvested these tubers! I should have just cut them back for next year, but I didn't know!
That's right, another plumbing problem. Something broke internally in the faucet that it would no longer emit hot water. Big eye roll here. Of course I was like, changing a faucet? sure, i can do that. Well, when it is a rusty mess then I cannot do it.
God Bless John R and his tools. He literally took a saw and cut the faucet off! The new one was fairly easy to install, but since he was already down there, I let him go at it!
Everyone needs a handy friend who is game to fix anything. Yeah, yeah, we need to actually repair the mailbox or something, but for now it is still standing...

FALL -Oct 2021

Fall is my favorite. This is when I get to take my wagon down to the local nursery and fill it up with pumpkins! Stephanie came with me this year.

Most of the time that I pin something on Pinterest it doesn't come to anything, but these letters were so darling I had to buy the pattern and make it. I think it turned out super cute. I made into an oversized hot pad to keep on the table instead of a runner.
This made me laugh because it looks exactly like a smiley fry like you get at the hospital!
I'm a bird person, and when I see I gigantic vulture strolling the 'hood I need a picture!

Lunch with Alex. We went to Denton to watch Ryan at a band competition.
These pictures loaded backwards, so we are leading the State Fair segment with a baby goat in a bucket!
This was the only thing Ryan wanted to do at the fair.

And this is why a dragged my family to the fair this year: my 2020 temperature afghan won a ribbon!

This isn't THE Tex, just a knock off, but we never made it to that part of the fairgrounds. We enjoyed walking on the midway, checking out the crafts, seeing the baby animals and petting zoo, and watching the herding dogs compete.

Fall also means soccer.

Just our Black/DeLucia crew leaving the field on a regular Saturday!

Sewing class.
Ramen puppy.
Surprise, our college boy came home.
"I want to learn to skateboard." Um, okaaaaaay." We borrowed a friend's board for a few weeks to see if she really wanted to skateboard, and turns out that she did!
Big Texas sky over the soccer field on a rare weeknight game.
Another Wester band concert.

Mr Smith is the best middle school band director!
This is our Halloween picture! Dan took M with her girlfriends trick or treating and they didn't snap a pic of them. They were all different colored crayons.
This girl squeezes in trips to the skatepark when she can. The concrete is so smooth, she is spoiled and doesn't like to skate on sidewalks.
Watching the skateboarding demonstration at local skate park.
This is our only pic from Trunk or Treat. M and I decorated the trunk to look like a jungle and then we wore our dino costumes. We got to lead the costume parade! She couldn't sit in her costume, so she is lying here having a rest!

Halloween Party with Worms the day before Halloween.

My Halloween assignment was to hand out candy and pick up these boys from work. They then proceeded to go trick or treating as pizza delivery guys. LOL
